This made me laugh soooo hard...
It's a review for a DVD, "The Importance of Being Earnest" starring Colin Firth.
I remember not being able to catch my breath from laughing when I read the play, it's just that well written.
So when I saw this, I just collapsed into giggles. You can feel the reviewer's disappointment so acutely that this crummy Oscar Wilde guy doesn't write stuff like Bridget Jones'Diary (loved the film but frankly couldn't even finish the book).
It's the "not even close..." that sets me off.

I must say, it really is astonishing, what did she expect of Oscar Wilde?
She just has to watch "The Ideal Husband" and give us a review!
i love the comment given by someone else after that person's review!
Cette pièce a été très bien traduite/adaptée en français sous le titre "L'importance d'être Constant".
